Potworki
Potworki is a peculiar bestiary created for the purposes of a BA thesis.
At the age of 8 to 9, I created over 500 drawings of fantastic creatures. I've found these drawings interesting enough to bring them back to life.
It was possible by printing A4 format book with renewed pictures of creatures.
In addition to redrawing old childhood projects, I faced the struggles of book design and printing preparation.
Here are the original drawings of some creatures used in the book. They had descriptions with information about their size, diet, even footprints and excrement. Sometimes there's addictional info.
...and here they are redrawn several years later as more realistic.
The book is divided into three sections of the land animals, the water ones and the flying creatures. Each animal is supported with information taken from my childhood drawings. There are also pictures of environment and some pages with old designs arranged differently.
